As Hispanic Heritage Month begins and the 2026 midterm election approaches, join PRSA for a timely conversation about representation, civic engagement, and the role communicators and journalists play in helping people feel seen, heard, and informed.

Beyond the Ballot will explore what the 2024 election revealed about the diversity of the Hispanic electorate, the communities and voices that can feel overlooked or underrepresented, and how communicators can challenge assumptions about the audiences they serve.

The conversation will also examine how we can make civic information more accessible, engaging, and meaningful. From ballot measures and candidate information to the stories we tell about our communities, communicators have an opportunity to move beyond simply sharing information and help people better understand the issues that affect their lives.

We’ll explore:

• How representation and trust shape civic engagement
• Why some communities feel disconnected or underrepresented in the civic process
• How storytelling can make complex civic information more accessible and engaging

This nonpartisan conversation is designed for PR, communications, marketing, journalism, media, and community engagement professionals interested in the intersection of storytelling, representation, and civic life.
