ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (OCPRSA) celebrated the region’s top public relations campaigns, professionals and organizations at the 2025 PROTOS Awards Gala, held Sept. 17 at the Impact Club at Honda Center. Over 25 trophies were awarded to local organizations and agencies for their efforts in media relations, community engagement, crisis communications and more.

This year’s theme, “PR Elevated: Celebrating Excellence Above the Noise,” was selected to capture how exemplary work in public relations uplifts the local business community and the practice of PR at large.

"PROTOS is more than an awards program; it’s a celebration of the innovation and impact that public relations professionals create for our community and industry,” said Tiffany Aguinaldo, 2025 OCPRSA president. “This year’s winners truly represent what it means to rise above the noise."

Top award winners included:

  • Elena Bosch, APR, who received the Distinguished Service Award, the chapter’s highest honor for her contributions to both OCPRSA and the public relations profession.
  • Erika Muir, who received the Rick Miltenberger Mentorship Award for her dedication to guiding and empowering the next generation of PR leaders.
  • City of Hope Orange County and Reveille, Inc. who earned Best in Show for the highest scoring entry with their submission, "The Music of Hope."

Each year, agencies, organizations and individuals submit their best campaigns and tactics to be judged against national standards of excellence. In accordance with PRSA bylaws, entries are reviewed by an independent PRSA chapter to ensure fairness and integrity. PROTOS Awards are presented to individuals submitting the highest-scoring entries in a category. Awards of Excellence are presented to other noteworthy entries that meet scoring criteria.
