Please welcome Anna Gimre, one of OCPRSA’s newest members! This PR professional has worked in the sports, tech and events sectors. She’s just joined Treat Public Relations as a public relations specialist and will definitely be applying sports acumen to her new career. Meet Anna!
Q: Please tell us about you! Your job, etc.
I recently started working with Treat Public Relations where I get to work in the endurance sports industry. I grew up an athlete which gave me a strong passion for all sports, so working in this industry is a dream come true! I don't participate in sports competitively anymore, but I still get the athlete's high attending and working at any sporting event.
Q: What brought you to the OCPRSA?
I joined OCPRSA because I am always looking for opportunities to meet new people and expand my knowledge in the industry. I look forward to attending local events and getting to meet more people within the organization!
Q: What’s your favorite piece of advice for PR professionals?
My favorite piece of advice for PR professionals, and something I try to go by in my personal life, is to try your best to be proactive rather than reactive! I say "try your best to" because there's no way to be prepared for everything that comes your way, especially in this industry.
