This rising PR star has launched her communications career mastering copywriting, social media, public relations AND video recaps for Sumitomo Electric Lightwave, a leading provider of optical fiber technologies. Meet Caitlin!
Q: Caitlin, please tell us about you! Your job, etc.
A: My name is Caitlin Lopez and I work as a Marketing Coordinator for Sumitomo Electric Lightwave. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton in May 2019 and I was involved with PRSSA when I attended CSUF! In my job, I work on ads/social media, coordinate speaking opportunities, and (my favorite part!) filming and editing our trade show recap videos!
Q: What motivated you to pursue your APR?
A: I was in PRSSA when I attended California State University, Fullerton and I wanted to continue my professional development through OCPRSA. I wanted to meet other like-minded individuals who are interested in advancing their PR careers and I also wanted to grow my knowledge/skills in my career.
Q: What’s your favorite piece of advice for PR professionals?
A: Don't be afraid to ask questions! Asking questions throughout your career will help you to grow as a professional in the long run!
